Day 3 : Collaboration

  • From this point on, the messy stuff is out of the way.

  • Let the fun of the art-making ensue.

    • If you have any questions throughout the entire project, don't hesitate to give us a buzz in the "Contact" section.

    • Honestly - we'd love to hear from you.. In fact we WANT to hear from YOU!

Enjoy some projects from the two of us to serve as inspiration and perhaps allow you to get a better idea of who we are as artists...

After listening to the guided visualization, I recalled my own moment of self-awareness:

Applying to colleges is a stressful moment in anyone's life and awaiting results can be even more nerve-wracking. I was obsessed with checking my status on whether or not I had been accepted yet or not. This visualization brought back a specfic fond memory of sitting in the airport with my family, having given up on obesessively checking my status for almost two weeks now. I was having a conversation with my dad that at this point in my life- whatever happens, happens. This for me, was my true moment of self-awareness. That I would be happy with whatever works out and make the best out of any situation. Like I said, I hadn't checked the status in two weeks so at 5:37am in that airport, after having this conversation respresentative to finding the serentity of a stagnant ocean, I decided to log on and check that I had been accepted to Pennsylvania State University for fall 2012.

For me, my moment of self-awareness wasn't getting accepted to this prestigious university, but the moment right before when I had given up on checking and was ready to accept whatever lies ahead, to accept myself. This collage walks through these moments most vividly in its metaphoric connection to the different stages of the oceanic landscapes.
